What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is the disease caused by a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2. First announce of this new virus was on 31 December 2019, following report of a cluster of cases of ‘viral pneumonia’ in Wuhan, People’s Republic of China.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.  Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the disease. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face.

Razi-Cov Pars Covid19 Vaccine
The domestically produced vaccine for the coronavirus dubbed COV-Pars was unveiled in Iran. Razi Institute COV-Pars coronavirus vaccine which is the first injected-inhaled recombinant corona protein vaccine undergoes clinical test by two volunteers receiving the first dose. The method applied in production of this vaccine is in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO) regulations.
The institute started working on the vaccine in February 2020 and after initial stages, it passed animal test phase in April 2020.It has developed 8 to 9 months of immunity in monkeys so far.
COV-Pars is developed under the leadership of Iran's Health Ministry and Food and Drug Organization expertise.
